The Engie headquarters in Brussels was recently redesigned, and Buro International provided the furniture. Since the existing desks were still in good condition but no longer matched the new interior concept, each desk was updated by replacing the base and adding a new 160 cm wide tabletop. A major challenge for over 2,000 desks!

In addition, height-adjustable desks were introduced in certain areas, giving employees the option to work while standing. Lockers with combination locks were placed centrally in the corridors, allowing people to safely store their personal belongings and maintain a clean desk. This was especially useful for Engie’s flex workers, who don’t have a fixed workspace. The lockers enable them to easily start their day at any available desk without having to bring a lot of materials from home.
