The Velvet desk has a hanging top on a metal structure finished in white embossed paint. The top appears to float above the floor, which makes the desk look lighter than its size suggests.
That also has a practical side. A hanging construction leaves the floor beneath completely clear, so you clean right under it and no leg gets in the way when you place a pedestal or a bin.
The top is finished in melamine oak, combining the warm tone of wood with a surface that stands up to daily use.
